I actually started planning this party 3 or 4 months before the actual date, going round and round with the theme, and what not. Of course our friend's and family's first thoughts was that I would do it cupcake theme, but that was my baby shower theme with her. Some even asked if I was going to resort back to my old baby shower theme idea, Alice in Wonderland, but I wanted to do something different, something new, but still able to tie in cupcakes and bright colors....alas, CANDY LAND!
I had so much fun planning this party, getting cool idea from friends, and online, and although there were a few things I wanted to do, but didn't get to, the party was a complete success, and I got some AMAZING pictures to prove it!
A HUGE thanks to my friend Erica, who is the "Party Planning Queen," and mot recently (as you will see below) "Photo-extraordinaire! Thank you so much lady, I couldn't have done it without you!!! Everyone must check out Erica's Etsy shop, Tell all your friends!!!

Brooklyn's Birthday Party invitation
I made these lollipop decorations leading up to the front door.
The candy table, right as you first walk in the front door.
The candy "favor" table
Little favors for the kids. Toothbrushes to help with all that candy and scented bubbles in a ice cream cone container.
Lots of sweet treats to choose from!
Kids each got one of theses and a baggy to fill with any candy they wanted.
Candy Land game set up for decoration.
I made 4 of these "candies" and hung them from the ceiling the kitchen.
Homemade cupcakes and Cake-pops
The AMAZING cupcake toppers Erica made.
Brooklyn's birthday cake... It didn't turn out quite as well as I hoped it would, but it was the first time I had used one of the giant cupcake molds...I have that think mastered now! lol
The chocolate fountain was a hit! Messy, but well worth it! We can strawberries, Oreos, large pretzel sticks, marshmallows, and frozen bananas to dip. :)
We got a HUGE activity bouncer that kept the kids busy.
Hanging out in the backyard
"My 3 moms" Liz (MIL), Donna (mom), and Jean (grandma). I LOVE these women!
Chowing down on a ba-ba. I LOVED the highchair banner, it said "I AM 1" with all sorts of candy and cupcakes decorating it.
Brooklyn's present table...she got so spoiled!
The Hughes family got Brooklyn the CUTEST skirt (what my mom's holding), PJs, and Erica made her a matching purple, polka dot skull bow!
"Happy Birthday To You...."
She didn't know what to think
"Make a Wish, pretty girl!"
Diggin in!
She loved it!
Isn't she gorgeous!!!
