Theme Park Thursday....

So I decided to take the kids on an impromptu trip to Disneyland on Thursday. I went back and forth on whether or not to go...it wasn't until I got word that The Little Mermaid ride was having their "soft opening" that I knew we HAD to go!!! Al got out of school early due to modified day at her school, so we went home, packed our bags, and headed to Boog's school and waited for him. Traffic was non-existent, so we got to Disneyland in a little under an hour. On the way, I got word that TLM ride had since closed, but only for "technical difficulties" and they were expecting to open the ride shortly.... After going through the baggage check, we headed straight for Cal. Adventure. TLM ride was still closed, so we went to Bugs Land, rode Monsters Inc., and walked around the park. Turns out it wasn't looking like they were going to re-open any time that day (whomp, whomp, whoooomp)....So we headed off to Disneyland and enjoyed the rest of pur evening. I must say, going to a theme park, by myself, with 3 kids was not as bad as I thought it would be. Oh, and don't let the fact that I have a 12yr old fool you! She can be just as tough as the little ones, to handle sometimes. Lol

All in all, it was another great trip to our "home away from home," I'm Sooooo glad we have our passes again!
